Somber Reunions

i blow the vampire a kiss and smile at liv filling her glass up with vodka "i never pretended to be mannered",

Kiou watched the alcohol drip off of Liv to the floor. "Though messy, I believe that is a far better use of this alcohol than drinking it."

i shrug "ive tasted jap wine not much for drinking either its... dry"

"A waste of the water of life, spilling it down me." I mutter, then glance at Kiou's raised brow. "Whiskey comes from the word ishka vaha. The water of life. It's meant to warm the heart and raise the spirit. That's why it is so sharp."

i take a swig from the bottle "well you can still say whiskey properly means you arent drunk enough".

"I fail to see the merit in getting yourself too drunk to fight properly." She sighed and shook her head before glaring down at her little cup of whiskey.

watching the byplay "Kiou the is more too life then fighting." I say over my shoulder before getting up and talking to the eternally grumpy Alex, comeing back with a rounder of shots the only one we should mostly all recognize by the glass sweating blood "come on guys, we might as well try our luck right?" taking the shot of Valhalla Venom and downing it in one. Then spinning the rounder.

i down the shot grimace for a moment and say "speaking about luck" i say "stay" to beast and walk up to the vampire "you thirsty? im on my period" i say as i sit down and light the cigarette.

I raise a brow at her words, then take my glass and down it. "With her around, I need this."

the vampire calls back in heavily accented english "sorri I don't indulge in junk food" which causes me to snort into my next shot "careful sori you did start it"

i blow the smoke into the air and say "sorry that came out wrong" i extend my hand and say "sori".

"Avshar" the vampire doesn't take the offered hand " i vould say charmed but i am not" turning back to the bar and his bloody susan.

i shrug as i take another drought from the bottle "now thats no way to treat a lady i mean after watching all the movies i would think you were more.. gentlemanly".

Kiou glared at Sori before grabbing Liv's drink and refill it with whatever alcohol she could get her hands on. Effortlessly, she strode over to her; not spilling a drop. "I don't care what you do, but I have my sister's honor to preserve as well." That said, she dumped the entire drink on Sori's head. "Whore." Placing the glass beside Sori on the bar, she turned on her heel and headed for the door.

i lick the corners of my mouth and say "im not a whore I DONT TAKE PAYMENT".

"Then you are dumb and easy. I am happy I keep her from you." Kiou's voice was almost sweet as she continued her walk to the door.

i shrug "cant deny her on that" i turn to the vampire and say "im quite sorry i guess this wasnt meant to be after all i just dont love you like her" i add as an afterthought "and im not really on my period" i stump the cigarette in an ashtray an walk after her.

Kiou practically growled to herself as she heard Sori following her. Why couldn't she just go off and be a whore so that the would have something more to throw in her 'sister's' face. Gritting her teeth, she left the bar and headed for home.

i run a hand through my hair as i limp after her beast trotting after me as we exit strangefellows i put another cigarette in my mouth and light it "i didnt know you cared so much about me or what i did".

"I don't!" She called out into the nightside as she walked ahead of her. "The worse off you are, the better it is for me. "But even I can't stand her sadness sometimes." Her feet never stopped moving.

i smile and say "well thats good to hear i was starting to fear she had stopped caring about me" i take a deep breath and say "and if you didnt care you wouldnt have stopped me in which case i would have had to stop myself im not too fond of the living dead".

"As i said before, I don't care what you do. I have her honor to preserve as well. Not to mention watching you throw yourself about is distasteful upon me as well as we were in a drinking group together." Her voice was flat.

i stick my head between her legs and lift her despite the sturggling upon my shoulders "come on live a little my grandmother had more fun at the old peoples home she lived in than you".

Kiou's legs curled around Sori's waist and back as this new position was awkward and albeit slightly scary for her. "I don't care about fun. I care about honor and saving my clan. Both of which cannot be tied to you as you have little honor and are female."

As the lovers spat, I shoot a wry look at Liam, who is quietly chuckling. "Tell me again, why was I fool enough to come drinking?"
