Broken Promise, Kept

i look at him and the tears burst out, i yell myself hoarse "I did what i felt i had to do when i had to do it! i acted to the best of my abillity and if you think i enjoyed shooting my own girlfriend you are a total moron and an asshole!" i bury my face in my hand.

I lay there and roll my eyes. Perhaps taking another nap wasn't such a bad idea. At least I wouldn't have to hear this crap.

"Cut the tears, you're a big girl. Which also means thinking with your head, not one of your muscles."

i sob and look away from him "as soon as i get my leg back im leaving".

"Look...let's all...cool off...before we do..anything." I add into the frigid air between them. I push myself to my feet, but just as quickly fall back to my knees. "Oh damn." I mutter, blinking back blackness. Too much power, used too fast. Never a good thing.

Slipping an arm around her back, Djehuty help Liv to her feet, still stiff with anger at Sori.

Perhaps this was the best idea after all. With lily and Sori gone, I will forever be the dominant personality. Then I'll be free to do as I like.

i get up give djhuety a cold look and hop off to my own room dragging the wheelchair after me.

I blink a few times. "I'm okay. That kind of work on top of fighting your working...shit. She's not out. Her head's full of emotion." I glance at Djhuety. "I'm exhausted. Your turn."

"Oh, she'll go to sleep eventually," he says, turning to her. "But right now, you're the one I'm concerned with."

I shrug. "I'm fine. Funny thing is, if any of us had calmed down for a moment and used our heads, we'd all be fine." From under my shirt, I pull my locket. Djhutey's eyes widen.
"She didn't leave it here." I state, "And that means we can find her." I stare at the girl on the floor for a long moment. "And I think we need to. Come on, let's-ack!" my knees don't seem to agree, and I barely manage to catch myself against the door frame.

"Time, Love. We've got time." He smiles, sliding the door shut behind him. "The house protects itself and all of us... so she's in no danger and no danger to us till we retrieve our lost flower."

i lay down on the bed my face red any my eyes teary i lay under the blanket and rest my head on the pillow and block the pain away i cant get emotional i do stupid things when i get emotional i think about all the changes ive gone through recently.

"We don't have all the time in the world." I lean against him. "The best time to do the Calling is on one of the Great Days. Beltane, Samhain, Yule, Midsummer. Beltane's in four days. We need to be getting ready. Not getting into petty arguments amongst ourselves."

"You ought to have told that to the twitterpated duo and the magpie." he smiles, nodding. "And you still need to figure out what you're going to say to folks on the hill."

I sigh. "I know. I know. I have ideas...I think I almost have the words. I just hope they'll ring true when I speak them." I drop onto the couch with a sigh. "Don't let Sori go off half cocked, okay? She's angry, but if she acts of anger and pride, she'll regret it."

"Emotions make us do things we regret if they aren't controlled." He sighs... "I'll not let her out of my sight if possible."

I nod. "Give me twenty minutes to get my strength back. Then, we go looking."

"Not doing," he smiles, "I hear your pillow whining, and I think I can make you forget you're angry with me."

I give him a long, dry look. "You'll have to work to do that."

"Not work... Pleasure," He grins broadly and, taking advantage of the support he already lends, lift her from her feet. "Why should the young ones get all the fun?"

Despite myself, I laugh. "We are young, you goof. And-" But he silences my words with a kiss, long, and sweet.
"Okay." I murmur, "That counts as down payment on what you owe me to stop being annoyed. Next installment, please?"

Looking around the living area, he smiles. "I think a new local would be advisable..." His hand twitches and he leans in again, shifting his grip to better support her. Breaking he sighs. "Communal housing... has it's downsides."

I nod against his chest. "Bedroom."

"As my lady wishes..."
