What Lily Lass Lifted...

Stands opposite Lily. "I won't be too rough on you"

"And I'll try to give you some room to move," Lily nods curtly across the circle.

My head in the cupboard, I roll my eyes. "Guess testosterone isn't the only thing that does it after all."

"liv no room to talk, i have seen you fight." I smirk "same concept different method" I smirk thinking would have killed to have her around before Kaija quit trying to kill me

Lily puts two fingers to her head and smiling, drops to all fours, fingertips and balls of feet, balancing her weight between front and back and circling outward, attempting to flank.

*ready when you are* I say as I take a defensive position, knees bent and ready

Hissing softly, she continues her flank, and with a slight inhale of breath, feints and backs.

*laughs maniacally* and takes a step onto the mat with an upraised fist

"I've seen fighting games," I whisper to Djhuety, "but usually it looks like a game. Not a cat fight." He nods, eyes wide.

A slight flinch, and Lily backs away from the center of the mat and sits back on the balls of her feet, one hand in front. "That's some gift," she says before setting her face in determination. "Bring it, sweetheart," she lunges, judges the strike of the fist and curls away.

"never played 'red Rover'?" i asked. "shield wall if i ever saw one." I say keeping on eye on the two "besides it is good for both of them neither knows what to expect"

As Lily steps backwards I reach out with a swift kick landing my foot square into her sternum

I wince, expecting to hear bone crack. Lord and Lady, I hope they don't do each other harm. To fight an enemy is one thing, in defense...but to relish hurting one another...
Different culture, different rules, I remind myself, watching the girls circle. My family water-dances. These girls go in for something more of a contact-sport. But the purpose is the same.
I can tell myself that. But it doesn't stop me wincing.

Lily gasps, but due to her backing, much of the force is lost; 'shit,' she thinks before allowing her already crouched body to double over Kaija's foot and grasping it securely in both hands about the calf and ankle. A pained grin and she twists it, forcing Kaija to turn or risk a bad sprain of her knee.

I tumble forward out of the leg lock. My internal growlings shoot from my mind to Lily's as I await her next move.

Lily sets up, watching Kaija tumble and reset on the far edge of the mat; rising to a crouched bipedal posture, she circles again, watching for an opening while keeping out of range. Tentatively, she crosses into range, staying low and moving fast, prodding for an opening.

I step towards her

Taking advantage of the closing space, Lily slips beneath Kaija's guard, looping an arm through her inner thigh as the other braces on her shoulder and upper arm. Pulling the leg up and pushing back on the shoulder, she forces her opponent appears to hang weightless for a moment before being taken to her back.

As I fall to the floor, I grab my opponent and pull her down, slamming her head against the mat. I then roll on top of her and pin her to the floor.

Their combined weight hits the mat, with Kaija's hands guiding Lily's forehead to the mat with an audible 'thack.' Lily goes limp, offering Kaija the time to roll and pin her shoulders and hips to the mat; across the ring, Liam makes a movement toward the combatants, when, with a groan, Lily's eyes flutter. Assessing in a moment, she extracts her right hand from Kaija's grip and twines it beneath the arm and under the chin, forcing her head back painfully as she levers against Kaija's shoulder. Unable to find the leverage to move further, Lily finds herself unable to completely break the pin.

Despite the pain, I lean forward and force her even further to the mat.

"Up for calling it a draw, Princess?" Lily grunts from the mat, attempting unsuccessfully to wriggle her hips from beneath Kaija's.

"You're the one pinned." I smile mischievously "I'll claim my victory, sister."

Eyes twinkling, Lily slides her hand from Kaija's chin to her temple, releasing the pressure on her neck. *Sweetheart, you ain't the only one with the brainwaves to get in someones head.*

*Oh, how quaint. You got in. You aren't the first.* I say as I grab her head and slam it against the mat again.
