Broken Promise, Kept

"I'm glad. When the house has learned it properly, I will make it all for you then." I cook the noodles quickly before removing them into the cold water as I finish up the veggies. Once cold enough I add them to a bowl, drizzle the sauce on, and lay the cold veggies on top with a few pickles on the side.

Moments later I set the plates on the table with the first one before Sori. "All done. Anyone else want some?"

"Suppose I'm game." I call in response, "and maybe everyone else will come out when they smell food. We've got some planning to do."

Djehuty lifts an eyebrow at the transformed man in a 'is there something you would like to share with the class' look, then nods slowly. "I'm up for anything new."

With a nod, I go to get more plates filled. Returning quickly, I lay them out for those that wanted it.

"come on you self servicing bastard" I mutter at the object i am trying to solder together, the timing has been a bit off so the seal hasn't been right. a sudden discharge from the capacitors attached to the power sink intended to avoid an auric-triggered burn out sending the Soldering Pen flying from my grasp. A string of curses leaves my mouth starting in english and slowly working back into dialects i have used over the hears finally settling on english again, causing several more discharges in the process. Picking up the Pen I set to work trying to attach the display. "work you Lop eared " one connection attaches "jug headed" another one finally settles in place "thrice cursed" the grounding three more connections finally line up "son of a mongrel Whore" I mutter as the last of the wires and connections is finally attached "see that wasn't so bad was it?"

After awhile of waiting, I shake my head and place a hand on Sori's shoulder as I slip by her. "I'll be right back. She should have shown up by now..."

Slipping out of the kitchen, I begin to wander the house looking for Lily. When I find the door to the garden I am slightly confused given the fact that it is below my room. Regardless, I enter and call out for Lily to see if she is in here.

i nod to kiou as she passes by, i look up and say "regenerating lost limbs is exhausting...".

I nod. "I'd imagine. That's a grand gift, especially in your case." I dig into my meal, which is a bit odd but quite good. But half way through a fork full, something brings my head up. That smell....faint, but definitely present. Like lightning strikes. Burnt ozone. Electricity. I glance sharply at Sori. "You didn't leave anything running in your room, did you?"

i look at her and think for a moment "not that i can think of".

"Then why do I smell ozone?" I ask pointedly.

i wave my hand dismissively and shrug "i dont know".

I glance down the hall. "Well if it isn't you messing with electricity, it's most likely Liam, he said he had something going. Just hope nothing catches fire." Resigned, I turn back to my meal.

i look at her with a smile "well i am working on something special its just an idea for now i dont know if i should share it with you you know top secret".

I glance at her dryly. "Sori, are you forgetting something?"

i burst out "its a suit of metal armor like tank thickness with an exoskelleton integrated of course im still thinking about how to create it".

I roll my eyes. "I should have known. Typical."

i raise an eyebrow and say "what?".

"You've finally found a girl who isn't monstrous, demonic or insane, and all you can talk about is weaponry?" I cluck my tongue. "Ridiculous girl."

i look at her "its not a weapon its a suit of armor" and then i raise an eyebrow "wait you know? how?".

I meet her eyes. "I told you that you were forgetting something." I tap the side of my head. "Visual empath? Sees emotions? And you two both have heads full of infatuation."

i smile at her "oh right yeah were kind of together now...".

I grin, leaning into Djhuety. "Now that's grand. You two make a nice pair."

i put on a dreamy face and say "yeah we do dont we?".

I glance at Djhuety. "See? Twitterpated."

ï rock in the wheelchair and state "im bored".
