Springing the Trap

I rub my eyes. "You would be the one to get bit, wouldn't you? Hold out your arm, let me see."
Taking the arm, I study it, cocking my head. "Well, bleeding's stopped....but your skin...." I touch it slowly frowning. It's cold, and feels hard as the scales on a snake. Turning, I trot back to my room. "I need my satchel."
After a few salves from my satchel have been applied, I study the area. No effect. I sit back. "Well.....I'm no healer. I've never treated anything like this....." I shake my head. "With any luck it'll just make your skin scaly."

I hold my hands up "are you saying i can turn into indestructoman?!"

"More like lizard man." I say dryly. I raise my voice, trying to sing the wounded place back into harmony, and open my eyes. No good. I shrug. "Let's sleep on it; it might be better come morning."
I'm glad to fall into my bed once more.
