A clock and a rat

I sit up, staring at the tawny semi-feline shape. "Is your beau with you? Because I have a few very choice words for that bird brain, including where the hell have you been?!"

The sphinx tilt its chin skyward haughtily. "He whom you call my beau, sits in broken avenue."

"Talk plainly sphinx." I say, "Did Sylus send you here? Did he find Djhuety?"

"is the one she and lilly lass fawn over with him?" I ask the sphynx trying to play along "and please not the 4 legs 2 legs 3 legs riddle"

She glares at Liam. "Yes." She says stiffly.

I jump to my feet. "Then take us there. Quickly."

"You know where he is? If someone can help me with the magic portion, I think we can travel there safely."
He looked around at their dubious expressions.
"I am more than capable of the science behind it, but my control of the magic isn't strong enough. It is simple enough to perform though."

" I meant no insult Tawny one, thankyou" I say with an inclination of my head " and I am not that great with that, ask Putian over their" pointing at Lilly "or Liv may be able to help, I know theory but I can't use the technique i know and am more then happy for it"

The sphinx leaps to the floor and turns a circle. "I can't take you all to the tree... I think, with your help, I can mange three." She nods to Mathias, "My talents are not on the level of my love's, but if you have any skill to speak of...?"
