Wheelchair Desperado

its been a few hours since i got cut to pieces and im almost back to full just missing a leg outside the door is a butler i sit upright in my bed loading holy ammunition into my revolver better be prepared in case im up for another ass whopping i sigh brushing my hair aside from my eyes i curse myself and my penis for getting me in all this trouble i twitch as the doorbell rings half expecting a tank to drive through the wall.

Aidith stood there at the door in one of her old human disguises from as far back as when she was among the nazis. When the door opened, she smiled and greeted the person at the door. "Hi, my name is Hylda. I just moved into the neighborhood and thought I would introduce myself to my neighbors. I also brought this." She held up the basket filled with smoked cheeses, sausages, and crackers.

i shout to james the butler "hey james get in here i need help getting into the crip-mobile" the man does as he is bidden to his credit and i grab an old cowboy hat sitting on a cupboard saying "lets go see who it is" i strap the revolver into the belt i got across my chest and put the hat on the gun chambers are glowing a faint light blue, as we roll out to meet the newcomer i shout at the door "hey who was it?".

Aidith smiled as she was escorted inside to chat. When she saw Sori, she smiled warmly. "Hello, I'm Hylda." She grinned as she stretched out her hand towards her.

i sigh "leave a name some way to reach you when the job is done and a deadline oh and i charge 50 percent up front".

Aidith looked confused as her hand drooped a moment before sliding back against her body. "I'm sorry?" She chuckled softly as she looked to the other people in the room for assistance. "I just recently moved in nearby. I thought I would say hello is all." She chuckled once more. "Wait, what did you think I was here for?"

i shrug "im a private contractor hitman investigator that kinda stuff after 40 years the whole chit chat thing with customers gets stale".

"Wow. A hitman? Or hitwoman?" Aidith made eyes softly as she flirted with her eyes. "I've never known a hitwoman before. Do you like use guns or knives?"

i yawn "guns grenades knifes flamethrowers suicide vests whatever gets the job done" i think for a moment "and im pretty sure hitman is a unisex term".

"So many things you use... Where do you keep such things? I mean with what you're talking about, that must fill up whole rooms in the house." She slipped on an awed visage. "You must be very capable at what you do to collect so many... tools of your trade."

i smile a devillish grin thinking of something smart to say i end up on "sorry trade secrets a magician never tells" there is something familliar about this woman i think for a moment narrow my eyes and ask "do i know you?".

She smiled and chuckled. "I don't see how, I just moved here. But if you believe in past lives, perhaps it was then. You know they say people cycle together, always finding eachother over and over. such an interesting concept." She sighed softly. "Do you still perform your work even though you are... well... seated?"

theres something fishy in the air and im not talking about mother's tuna casserolle i smile and say "oh i expect to be back on my feet in no time and yes i do perform wheelchair drive bys".

She was honestly surprised. "That takes great skill to accomplish such a feat. I have seen how bad some part of nightside are. To hear that you are able to do that is truly amazing."

the hairs on my back stands up screaming GET OUT OF HERE NOW! and i ask her "anything specific you wanted?".

She shook her head. "No, as I said, I just came to introduce myself to you all and get to know you. Being new in an area is hard here. The sooner you get your bearings, the sooner you are closer to surviving."

realization hits in hylda was the name aidith used back in world war two wasnt it? quick as lightning i draw the revolver and pull the trigger aiming for her heart *click click click click click click* i throw it into her face and wrestle the chair out of james's controll spin it around shouting "james youre on your own!".

She blinked a bit and looked to James. "Was it something I said?"

i go straight for my room as fast as i can i open the door and roll in closing it shut behind me, i open my closet drive in and grab an ak 47 off of the wall i pull the slide check the magazine pull the slide again i take a deep breath turn around and aim it at the door anticipating what might be my final death.

Aidith sighed and bowed to James lightly. "I'll go and apologize. It's best not to terrorize neighbors after all." Going to the door, she knocked lightly. "Miss? I'll be leaving soon. I just wanted to say that I apologize for angering you. It was not my intention. Whatever it was I said... I apologize."

i say "you may enter wench" having rolled over to the minibar and grabbed myself a shot of whiskey.

Aidith let herself in and shut the door behind her. Seeing Sori with her gun she sighed softly. "It was not my intent to make you this aggravated... I sincerely apologize..."

i raise an eyebrow and rest the rifle on the minibar i down the shot and say "sit and dont try to bullshit me i know what and who you are".

Following her instructions, Aidith went to the minibar and sat down. Silently, she waited for Sori to say something.

i look her dead in the eye and say "if i scream a dozen armed guards will storm this room in the next two minutes so lets keep things civil because this will only go bad for you if you dont" i get my pack of smokes out and pull one out then offering her one.
